Drive Traffic to Your Website Through Social Networking by: Nathan Holland

May 23rd, 2009

Social networking is the modern method of hooking up with your friends, sharing thoughts and opinions and passing on recommendations. It is the equivalent of the backyard fence where housewives used to meet to discuss the news of the day and share tips about new products they had discovered. Those products reputations grew by word of mouth. Products were trusted because they came recommended by a friend. The power of word of mouth advertising has long been acknowledged in the marketing world, but companies have been slow to recognize the potential of social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace.

Spend any amount of time on social networking sites and you will discover a world of opinion. This one has become a fan of such and such band. That one has sent a note to his 496 friends to say that the latest super-hero movie is fabulous! In fact, the vast majority of postings are simple statements of viewpoint. ‘I just ate at XYZ restaurant – excellent food, but over-priced.” “Just came out of MoMA – time well spent!” The friends who read these postings will be more likely to go to the Museum of Modern Art, but less likely to bother with XYZ restaurant.

Like all word of mouth marketing, the simple fact is these are unsolicited opinions, freely given. The power of these personal recommendations should not be under-rated. The very spontaneousness of the opinion adds weight - it does not feel like ‘somebody is trying to sell something’. How are businesses to take advantage of the social networking phenomenon? How do you ensure that it is your product they are talking about? These sites are rightly vigilant against spamming (unauthorized and unwelcome solicitation) so a careful social marketing strategy is called for.

With proper application of just a few proven methods you can see your web traffic explode through social marketing. Follow the right techniques for establishing profiles and getting your message out there and you will reap the rewards of increased traffic to your website. You will want to be careful to avoid marketing mistakes that will lead to getting banned from the social networking sites, and there is no better guidance than that available at Social Traffic Explosion. You can learn the techniques and methods that will allow you to take advantage of the social networking phenomenon and to become part of the twenty first century version of word of mouth advertising.

How To Rank Higher In Google Search With Its Other ‘Engines’ by: Craig Amanti

May 23rd, 2009

If you haven’t already, soon enough you’ll hear, read, or see the equation “traffic=sales” but to be straight with you here the more distinctive version of the equation is “conversions=sales”. However, the truth of the matter is, really, “more traffic=more conversions”.

One of the challenges online marketers bring about themselves is, they let themselves become compelled to single avenues of search marketing. Whereas, search marketers should expand their search marketing efforts to other forms of search becoming popular to users across the web.

Did you know, Google has more engines other than its search? Just recently WebProNews (WPN) released an article offering some great tips for ranking in, not only in Google search but also for, its other engines. Other engines you might ask? What other engines you might add? Well according to the Google Empire they are more than just a search engine, and to be honest I’d say most of you are aware of this, you just haven’t realised it yet. At the Search Marketing Expo (SMX) conference, Google officials shared some tips for ranking in five other Google engines. They include:

” YouTube (Acquired since October 2006)
” Google Image Search
” Google News
” Google Maps/Local Search
” Google Blog Search

You can view all the internet marketing tips by checking out the article, but you might be asking, why or even how is this important to me? Well here are some interesting facts about each other Google engine:

YouTube, the rock star of online video is second to Google in online search portals making it the number one go-to place for online video. Got your attention? Hang in there, there’s more. According to the fanatic analysts over at ComScore, Inc in early 2008 YouTube pulled in approximately 2.9 of the 9.5 Billion videos watched online. Moreover this video giant, according to Nielsen NetRatings is visited by approximately 68 Million unique users in the U.S alone. Do you have video on your site? Is it in YouTube’s archive? If not, Submit and optimise it for top YouTube ranking. This is one serious search channel you don’t want to miss out on.

“One in five searches are image searches”. It’s an on-page seo fundamental principal to insert alt tags related to your target keywords to your page images. But you’ve got a blog you say? Just as cool, in fact Basu suggests if you have a blog add images to help better syndicate in Google News. But we’ll get to that. For the time being, what ‘image’ do you or your company want to be associated with on the web, literally?

I recently read an article published by Time Magazine about the dual being played off between online and print news. Analysts suggest print media is on the downhill (in many parts of the world) while in the virtual world it’s soaring. This is perhaps because of the vast array of ways people can connect to online media instantly via potable devices.

What’s a popular destination? Google News. Why should I consider ranking in Google News? Despite the myths and so-called facts out there about Google news one person out there hit it bang on the cracker. Much of what is shared out there in the social media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter etc.) often originates from such news sources. Bottom line it can be viral, and people talk about you, good or bad.

For some, this may just be the virtual key you give your customers to step into the reality of your door. These days it seems easier to pull up your web browser and point it over to Google Maps than to dig and find your way through a road map. If people are searching Google Maps for a service or product and find your business listed, what do you think is likely to happen?

The Google guys once announced Google’s aim was “to organise the world’s information”. So with their Google Blog Search division they are doing just that. There’s no doubt the blogosphere is huge and millions are participating in the community. If your website’s got a blog, why not extend your readership by also getting a top ranking in Google’s Blog Search?

Top Methods of Driving Traffic to Your Website by: Matthew Henderson

May 23rd, 2009

You may have built the greatest website ever, but unless you promote it, no one is ever going to see it. Driving traffic to your website can be a time-consuming endeavour. But, if you learn some good marketing techniques, you can begin receiving traffic in no time at all.

There are many methods you can use for driving traffic to your website. Your goal should be to target a certain group of people in order to ensure that the traffic your site receives is quality. In order to market to targeted visitors, you need to stop and think for a bit just who exactly would benefit from visiting a site such as yours. What age group? What type of culture? Is your website about a particular hobby that many enjoy? What financial background should your visitors have?

Once you are able to answer all these questions, then you can begin driving traffic to your website. There are different ways to this: article marketing, search engine optimization, blogging, social networking, pay per click advertising, etc. Anyone of these may be enough for driving traffic to your website, but you should still try other methods as well, just as long as you have the time and money.

Search engine optimization, of course, means that you will prepare your site for Google and Yahoo results. Determine what keywords a searcher would enter into a search engine in order to come across a site such as yours. By optimizing your site for those keywords, you will be driving traffic to your website.

Article writing and blogging are also great methods of driving traffic to your website. You can write articles about your niche and place them on a blog. You can also submit them to article directories along with a link to your site. Don’t forget to add relevant keywords in your articles as well. Just as long as the articles are well-written and interesting, they will play a big role in driving traffic to your website.

Social networking involves creating accounts at places like MySpace, Twitter, Facebook, Stumbled Upon, etc., in order to meet friends and associates. You’ll be able to share information with others, and you can prove to everyone that you’re an expert of your niche. Just as long as you don’t outright spam, your friendliness and expertise will pay off and you’ll begin driving traffic to your website.

Pay per click advertising can be expensive, but it’s a great choice for those who know what they’re doing. If you have enough of a budget, then start a PPC campaign for driving traffic to your website. Google AdSense and Adbrite are two popular campaign hosts. You may need to seek advice on what keywords you should target with your campaign. By knowing which keywords and keyword phrases you can use for the lowest price possible, you’ll be saving a lot of money in the long run.

Driving traffic to your website is something that you need to really work hard to do. If at first things don’t seem to be going your way, don’t give up-try a different strategy if you must, but never give up.

Get More Click Throughs To Your Website: 7 Best Resource Box Lures by: Steve Shaw

May 23rd, 2009

You’ve just written an eloquent, intelligent, and enlightening article. Your title is great, your topic is timeless, and the quality is top notch.

But wait a second–you’re not done yet. You need to create a resource box that will get the reader from your article on over to your website.

Article marketing is not just about the article–having a compelling resource box is crucial to your success!

Remember, you shouldn’t be talking about your own website or business in the article body, but you can (and should!) talk about your business and website in the resource box. Along with your name, brief bio info, and your website URL, you need to give the reader a reason to hop from your article on over to your website.

When you give the reader a great reason to click the link in your resource box leading to your website, you will generate more traffic to your site, which is what you’re after, right?

Use one of these top 7 resource box lures, and you’ll maximize your click throughs:

1) A free e-book

Your free e-book should be on the topic of your website (as all your articles should be), so any reader who likes one of your articles would be interested in a book with additional info.

In your resource box, be sure to say that the e-book is free, as anything free is very attractive to readers! If the e-book is of a longer length (let’s say 50 pages or so), you might want to put that bit of info in your resource box as well, as it lets the reader know that it’s a significant amount of info (and that would be more of a lure).

Your e-book doesn’t have to be of epic length though–even a book that is only 10 pages long and jam packed with helpful information would be valuable to a reader.

2) A newsletter

If you have a newsletter, you already have a wonderful reason for readers to click through to your website from your resource box. Instead of saying “For more info, visit my website”, it would be more effective to say, “Sign up for a free newsletter offering weekly tips on this topic” and then give your website URL.

3) An e-course

An e-course is basically a series of emails that teaches the reader something. It’s different than a newsletter because usually e-courses are of limited duration and are very specific in what they teach.

They’re effective because people love to learn, especially for free!

In your resource box you could say, “Claim your free 10 part e-course on [some specific aspect of your niche]” and then give your website URL.

4) In depth content

Most articles are limited in length to about 1500 words or less, so it’s hard to get super in depth in your article content.

Since you’re an expert in the topic of your website, why not create a page on your website that offers a continuation of the information you condensed in your article?

5) A great product or service

This is an easy one–if you’ve got a unique, stellar, stand out type of service or product, you have a build in reason for folks to click through to your site. Be sure that you explain in your resource box what your product is and what the benefits are. This approach works best if what you’re selling really is unique and there aren’t a whole bunch of other folks with the same type of product or service.

6) A discount

People LOVE feeling like they’re saving money and getting a good deal (the only thing people love more is getting stuff for free!). If you have a product based site, you might want to come up with some sort of offer that will allow your readers to get a discount on a purchase.

7) A blog

To be an effective resource box lure, the blog must be well-tended, offering fresh and useful information on the topic of your website. It depends on your niche, but I think a blog offering mostly ‘how to’ posts is most attractive to readers. A blog not only gives readers a reason to click through to your website from your article, but it also gives them a reason to continue visiting your site–you’re offering a steady stream of useful content, which is quite an incentive!

Now you’ve got 7 ideas for resource box lures that will give readers a reason to hop from your article over to your website. For each resource box, you only need one “lure”, but you can switch things up and try different reasons to click through for different articles.

Experiment and see which lure works the best for you!

Internet Attraction Marketing Articles - Secret To Getting Your Articles Read Every Time! by: Dean Caporella

May 23rd, 2009

Internet attraction marketing articles are the perfect way to create interest in your network marketing business. However, unless you structure them correctly your efforts can be wasted and the flow of prospects into your leads funnel will be severely restricted.

An article needs to be educational in nature and has to teach the reader something that they can take away and implement in their business. Unless you are teaching your prospects effective business building strategies, there is almost no reason why they should follow your links to your web properties.

Internet Attraction Marketing Articles

The other important aspect of your articles should be their cosmetic make up. While the information is vital in breaking down any trust barriers, your article also needs to be visually appealing. If this sounds confusing let’s explain a visually appealing article.

Avoid making your piece look like a huge mass of words. That is, use paragraphs and use them regularly. While your information may be great the reader can easily turn away because it can look hard work to read.

Paragraphs should be no more than two to three sentences long. The article has to appear an easy read and a piece that is spread out will look a lot easier to read than one which has just a couple of paragraphs.

Try this yourself. Scan the article directories and look through the content submitted. Make note of the ones that immediately appeal to your reading senses. It’s quite likely you will be more drawn to those which have several paragraphs than those with one or two.

Take a look at this article for instance. Notice that it is broken up into at least eight or nine paragraphs. This is what we call visually appealing. While the content is vitally important and aimed at teaching you the correct way to structure the piece, it’s also meant to look easy to read.

If it was just a couple of paragraphs would you be as inclined to read it? Probably not and the simple fact is while this information will increase the number of people who stick around and read your content, the mere fact it looks like hard work to read will turn most away.

Internet attraction marketing articles need to teach the reader and make it as inviting as possible to spend the few minutes to read it. Once you understand this concept you’ll experience an increase in the number of people who absorb your content and follow your links to your web properties.

All That Was Was a Setback by: Ted Ciuba

May 23rd, 2009

Recently, I spoke with a young lady who had a story that was so important that I just had to share it with you. Here’s what she had to say:

What happens if you know exactly what you want, you’ve got a burning desire, you’re enthusiastic, and things start to happen—and then they slip away? For instance, in my situation, Oprah’s people had asked me to do a radio show with them and for them. And it was exciting; I mean, it was incredible. The General Manager and the Program Director were on board.

This was a dream come true! I’ve seen this, it’s on my vision board, and here it is, ready to happen—and then both of them get fired, at the exact same time, due to budget cutbacks, or whatever…

I still talk to them through Facebook, and still have good connections with them, but in a business sense, it’s not happening…

But there you go! It’s interesting; I’ve had a variety of different slips. In other words, you get really, really close, and then it doesn’t quite manifest.

For the first time, I’ve lost a little bit of confidence—and I’ve never been one to ever lose my confidence. Doubt is creeping in, and I’m like, “Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me!” Sometimes it’s hard to get right back up and start the dream over again. I’m wondering: am I on the right path? Because things keep slipping, just a little bit.

Now, I wanted to speak to this because it’s a pretty common phenomenon. When something like this happens, it’s time to go back and retool, because somewhere along the way you forgot everything it was that drove you originally. You need to go back and pull out your original affirmations and start saying them again. You start meditating again, you start visualizing, you start thinking about contributing to the world. If you don’t have faith, you build it back up!

So you’re doing a repair job. And in some ways, it requires more the second time, because you know how close you were, you know what you had, and you know what you don’t have now.

But the reality of the matter (and again, this is part of the philosophy) is that there is a rhythm, and there are setbacks that come to everybody. We don’t cause them all, but we do cause most of them.

Either way, we still have the response-ability to continue with our dreams, to hold onto our visions. If you’re committed to getting on Oprah, as this young lady is, then what happened wasn’t the end of the world… All that was was a setback.

Seo Blogging Software Can Help You Get Traffic by: Adam Waxler

May 23rd, 2009

There are several different reasons why people use blogs in order to get information onto the Internet. The most obvious of these reasons is because it is the simplest way for you to do so, allowing even the most raw beginner to get started with their own website. Another reason why a blog is an excellent idea is because they tend to receive a lot of favor in the eyes of the search engines. Even though this seems to happen naturally, you can help the process along by employing some SEO blogging software. What can the software do for you?

Some of the SEO blogging software that is available is actually able to optimize any type of website, blog or static. It helps you to analyze different parts of your website in order to find out if it needs to be optimized in some specific way or another. It can also help you by checking out your keyword density on the page, as well as making sure that you are using your meta tags properly. Some of this SEO blogging software can automate these processes for you, perfecting your on page optimization and getting you ready to receive a lot of traffic.

Another type of SEO blogging software that you should look into allows you to ping multiple websites every time you post new information. This can attract the attention of the search engines rather quickly but it can also attract new visitors as well. Some of the blogging platforms, such as Wordpress have this functionality built into it. However, it is still a good idea for you to do this from an external source from time to time in order to get as many pings as you possibly can.

The best part about optimizing your blog is the fact that you can begin ranking for some longer keyword phrases very quickly in Google. These long phrases really add up and can bring you a lot of traffic as you continue to use your SEO blogging software to optimize for more competitive phrases.

Although search engine optimization is an ongoing process, there will come a time when your blog begins to take on a life of its own. At that point, you can either continue to build up your readership and visitors, or you can start to take the extra time and put it into building your own blog empire.

Instant Techniques On How To Make Email Marketing Simple And Effective For Your Online Business by: Khurram Zaveri

May 23rd, 2009

Email marketing is very important to one’s online business. Any strategy you find on the net today can not be a stand alone strategy, that will do all the profit generating work for you. It is important that you learn how to combine these processes and have them all integrated with your business.

The challenge that you can get from competition is very vast. If you would like to be ahead of your competitors, you should find a way to make things simpler for you to work on, less complication is less frustration. Using one or two of all the strategies available for online marketing would give you more time to evaluate what the impact would it give to your business.

Let’s say for instance email marketing, using this strategy would be better of with an opt in option for your subscribers. This would definitely give you more credibility on sending those newsletters and sales pitches to your customers legally. The reason behind this is that these people who will be receiving your emails are subscribers who have opted to receive them, in the first place. This would distinguish you from most of the bulk emails that they receive regularly. This time around they can opt to unsubscribe to what you are sending automatically if they want to.

Now, to prevent these subscribers from opting out, you need to send them pertinent information on what they are interested with. To be able to benefit from the information that you will be giving them, you have to integrate the product or service that you are offering to the information you are sending, so they would be able to relate to it, and eventually take advantage of it.

You are probably thinking how would you be able to make things simple in sending out those emails regularly, right? Well, there are a lot of options to choose from, and one is sending out your emails with the use of a bulk email sender software. This type of software can make a weeks time email sending work for you a days work depending on your ISP connection. So better get one and make sending those emails a simpler task for you.

Winning Tactics In Driving Traffic To Your Website Without Big Bucks Involved by: Khurram Zaveri

May 23rd, 2009

The first thing that you have to consider in building a business online is sending traffic to your site. How would you be able to obtain this traffic without paying that much money then? You have to look into several ways on how to generate free traffic through the web.

Let’s face it, even if you have all the money in the world, you still would like to avail of that free stuff that you can get from the web, as long as it’s going to help you keep up with this fast paced industry, that are filled of challenges and competitions. It is true that it is somehow difficult to be able to generate traffic, but if you follow methods to help you out on how to go about doing it the easy way, then it wouldn’t be much of a problem for you.

There are several strategies that you can use to drive traffic to your website without costing that much money. You may even combine them according to your preference, so you can get more traffic that you expect. Let’s say for instance using article marketing and email marketing at the same time.

Article marketing allows you to drive traffic to your website through article submission, while having it go together with an email campaign would work out perfectly. After your online users read your article they are interested with it and will be clicking on the resource box linked to your website. From there you get traffic, and then you have them opt in to a weekly newsletter for free for more information, then you will be able to capture their email addresses.

Being able to acquire their email addresses would now allow you to contact these people. You then send them newsletters as you have promised, together with your sales pitch for the product that you are offering. Eventually you will gain their trust and they will buy your product.

But of course for you to be able to send those emails in a shorter period of time, you will need assistance for it. You may opt to use a bulk email sender software that could help you organize your mailing list, and send out those emails for you.
