Use of H Tags or Header tags in SEO

Most of us heard may have heard the use of heading tags in a website, but do not why or what advantage it has? Well use of heading tags increases the ranking of site in search engine or helping the SEO. The Heading tags have 6 levels that start from H1 to H6, importance starting from H1 to H6.

Among those 6 tags, the H1 Tag is considered very important as per SEO Strategy. The Search Engine robots look for these tags & heading & content present in them. That is why the H1 tag includes the title so that it can notice by the search engines. Take care to insert rich content in the section of H1 tag so that the visitors can show interest in reading it, leading them to browse further pages of the site. One includes the title of the page between these tags. Next tag is the H2 Tag, which can be used for sub heading. The H3 tag can be used for the titles of various sections present in the content & in between tags of H4, H5, H6 the sub headings can be used.

The Use of keywords in all the levels of H tags add a great value because the crawlers or the search engine robots come across website or a specific page by a common or popular keyword set related to that content or subject of the website. The better the keywords present the tags, the higher will be the ranking of the site. Let me also mention that the interpretation of Header tags depends also on the type of browser used. That means the ranking of received in a Internet explorer will not be the same as found in the Firebox browser. Proper knowledge & use of header tags helps in better SEO leading to higher ranking of the website.

Remember the opening & closing of the tags is important, if one has opened a H1 tag like <H1> then the closing of the tag has to be done like this </H1>.Forgetting to close the heading tag may lead to confusion & the search engine robots may not come across your keywords.

It can be mentioned that these Header tags are very important in the optimization of the Site as per suggested by SEO Experts also. They draw the visitor’s attention to the content associated with the title or sub titles present in each type of header tags. Also avoid or control the use of too many header tags in one site.

Search Engines - Is More Needed

Search engines are often used by someone looking to find the answer to a question. Mostly the search engine they use will deliver an acceptable result. However, occasionally there comes a time when there simply isn’t the required level of information on a subject to satisfy the user.

Google has attempted to remedy this by adding the “Universal Search”. This is their measure to deliver relevant information about a specific search.

In recent times the top search result was always a web page. This is no longer the case, in a universal search the top result can be a youtube video, a podcast and sometimes even an image.

Is this providing enough?

Not so long ago I was searching the web for Canadian directories. I began the search on google.ca (Canadian Google). Some good results were returned on the first five pages but after the searches were unrelated sites that happened to feature the words “Canadian” and “directories”.

Next I ran the exact same phrase on the Yahoo and MSN search engines. I noticed that it returned the same results.

This got me wondering. Are these 40 or so directories the only ones in Canada? I seriously doubt it.

The point I’m getting at is that although these search engines do a phenomenal job, they really ought to do better. Another thing that concerns me is Googles recent trend to refer to their business as an advertising platform as opposed to a search engine.

I fully understand what they’re saying though, they’re a business and all businesses need to evolve to stay current with the times. However, when you start to neglect your roots and the core reason for you standing so high on the pedestal I think it signals the beginning of the end.

It’ll take a long time and massive effort to remove Google from its Search Engine throne. The same was said of Microsoft in the 90’s. They were once regarded an unmovable force in the IT industry. Is that the case today?

How To Rank High With One Word Searches

It’s usual in SEO to suggest that clients avoid going after that hard to find one word phrase. Has it become easier to be ranked for so called “one word phrases?”

I’ve been able to acquire some top rankings for my clients in the last year. This isn’t an attempt to brag, but if everyone’s avoiding one word rankings no one will know what it’s like to go after them.

But, of course, there are some that like to think one word phrases can’t be converted. Despite this, I have seen these phrases drive up to 10,000 visitors per day into sites. But as you would expect, not all can be converted, but around 20% can.

That’s right, 20% of all the visitors entering convert at that rate for an item on the webpage. It might not always be the phrase that has brought them to the site, but that person is converting on something.

Using WebTrends or possibly Google analytics can tell you the phrase which brought that specific person into your site. But to get the level of detail you need, the only programme I have found reliable is a site database capturing system. Although made for custom, it can still keep a track of the pages that have been visited and is able to tell you if someone originally came searching for a term like “KVM” but instead, ended up purchasing something completely different like a Router. This is the kind of information that will be logged.

So now these one word phrases are converting really well. Also, with so many search engine optimizers deciding not to go with them, it gives an excellent opportunity to get the top rankings on the traffic.

Have you worked out your Google Penalty Plan yet?

If you haven’t it’s time to start thinking about it, if you have – how’s it going?

Google is at a defining point in time at present regarding the way it penalizes sites with paid links and the constantly shifting and evolving algorithm that handles the way it ranks and places web pages. Quite frankly, SERP’s are becoming a guessing game right now.

So, what precautions and measures have you put in place right now to ensure your site survives in the unlikely event of a Google penalty? Ranking highly and placing well today doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll always have the constant influx of traffic and money. What happens if the Google system flags your site, whether deserved or not for some form of spam?

So many people are trying to evade the system these days. It really is no surprise that on occasion Google lashes out with such merciless punishment. On one hand we’re pushing Google to return more accurate search results, to enhance their performance and give us better results. On the other some of us are pushing the morale boundaries to “get ahead” in the rat race.

What I’m saying is, the internet is a very big place. Google shouldn’t be your only stream of traffic. You should be out there, searching and implementing alternative traffic sources. Where else does this traffic flow from then?

Internet discussion forums are an excellent alternative traffic source. Find the biggest in your niche and be active. Don’t post one word answers in the hope of gaining a few signature clicks. Demonstrate your prowess, prove your expertise in your chosen field. People respond well to informative, knowledgeable posts. Give them a reason to click the link you cunningly placed in your signature.

Articles are a phenomenal traffic source. I know article writing is long winded and often boring but it works. Articles are a great way to show what you know, a way to emphasise your points and show your personality to the reader.

Be honest with your readers. This applies with forums, blogs, emails and articles. Don’t pretend to be someone else, people will see right through the masquerade. It’s a safer bet to tell them what you think, they’ll warm to you nicely and guess what? Your traffic will increase.

Seek Assistance. There’s no shame in accepting you need help. When my car won’t start I call roadside assistance, the same should apply to the internet. When a problem arises that you’re unsure of speak to someone with experience. Oftentimes this leads to a prolonged conversation and an exchange of useful information, information you can usually apply to gain links.

Befriend your clients. A word and a smile means a lot in business. The exact same thing applies with online business. Your clients have an extensive network of associates, so performing well for them will increase referrals. They’ll be happy to pass on their dealing with you.

Google is an amazing utility for generating traffic, however it isn’t the only source. Human relations and good interactions are what make the difference. Treating the people you encounter with kindness and respect will tip the balance in your favour. It’s these kind of social interactions that’ll open the traffic flood gates and see your stats soaring like you never thought possible.

หา link แบบถึกๆ โดยสร้าง blog network

นี่ก็เป็นอีกความเห็นนึงจากเพื่อนๆใน ไทยเสียวนะคับ โดยที่ผมก็ได้เริ่มทำแนวนี้มาได้สักพักแล้วต้องดูผลกันต่อไป

ถ้าเพื่อนๆคนไหนไปงาน TSB meeting ครั้งที่ผ่านมา คงได้ยินคุณโซวบอกแนวทางในการหา link ไว้ สั้นๆ 3 ข้อ

1. link ยิ่งมากยิ่งดี

2. link ยิ่งตรงยิ่งเด็ด

3. link จาก pr สูงๆ (เดี๊ยวผมขอไปถอดเทปคำพูดคุณโซวมาก่อนจะได้เหมือนที่แกพูดไว้)

เพื่อนๆได้ยินแล้วคงจะสงสัยว่า แล้วเราจะไปหา link จากที่ไหน ถึงจะได้ทั้งเยอะ ทั้งตรง ทั้ง pr สูงๆ

คำตอบนั้นง่ายมากครับ ก็สร้างมันขึ้นมาเองสิ ตนเป็นที่พึ่งแห่งตนยังคงใช้ได้ดีในทุกสถานะการณ์

แนวทางที่เราจะทำก็คือ เอา free blog ต่างๆมา link กันเป็น blog network

เชื่อว่าหลายๆท่าน คงจะเคยสร้าง free blog กันมาบ้างแล้ว บ้างคนสร้างมาเพื่อทำเป็น blog ส่วนตัว, บางคนทำเพื่อไว้สร้าง backlink

แนวทางนี้ก็เช่นกัน เราจะเอา free blog มาสร้าง backlink ไว้ให้เวปในเครือของพวกเรา เพียวแต่เราจะไม่ทำเพียง 1-2 เวป แต่เราจะทำเป็น mass เอาสัก 25 เวปก็แล้วกัน (วางตัวเลขเป็นมาตราฐานไว้เลยหล่ะกันนะครับ)

หลายคนเห็นตัวเลข 25 แล้วก็ท้อไปเลย อาจจะคิดว่า ใครจะไปดูแลมันได้ ก็คงต้องบอกว่า ผมดูแลได้ ไม่งั้นผมจะเสนอวิธีนี้มาทำไม ใช่เปล่า เพียงแต่เราอาจจะต้องมี tool ไว้ช่วยงานเราก็เท่านั้นเอง power tool ตัวนี้ มีชื่อว่า “BLOGJET” ราคาไม่แพง 40$ เอง ใช้ดีจึงแนะนำ และไม่มีค่านายหน้าใดๆทั้งนั้น (สำหรับคนชอบของฟรี ลองใช้ความพยายามหาดูแหละกัน มีแน่นอน)

ไอ้เจ้า Blogjet ตัวนี้มันจะช่วยให้เรา post บทความลงใน blog ต่างๆของเราได้อย่างง่ายดาย ลองดูตัวอย่างใน clip ก็ได้ ถ้าเราจัดการวางแผนการทำงานดีๆ เราทำงานวันละไม่ถึง 0.5 ชม/วัน แน่นอนในการหา backlink แถม backlink ที่ได้ยังเป็น backlink แบบมีคุณภาพอีกด้วย (เพราะตามแผนงานที่ผมวางไว้ ผมตั้งใจจะทำให้ blog ทั้งหมดของเราต้องมี Pr 2 เป็นอย่างต่ำ) ดังนั้น backlink ที่คุณจะได้จึงมีทั้งคุณภาพ, ปริมาณ และตรงตามเนื้อหา

มาดู road map ในการสร้าง blog network กัน

1. ก่อนอื่นอยากให้เลือกตลาดที่เราจะทำ blog network ออกมาเป็นตลาดใหญ่ๆก่อน อย่างเช่น สุขภาพ, ผู้หญิง, สัตว์เลี้ยง, คอมและเทคโนโลยี, ท่องเที่ยว เป็นต้น

ที่เราเลือกมา คือเราจะทำ blog ทั้งหมดให้เป็นในแนวเดียวกันทั้งหมด เช่น เป็นเวปบทความเกี่ยวกับสุภาพทั้ง 25 เวป อะไรอย่างนี้ (การเลือกคงจะต้องดูด้วยว่า เวปที่เราทำไว้เป็นเวปในตลาดไหน เราก็เลือกตลาดนั้นมาทำ network แต่ถ้าเวปเรามีหลายตลาดล่ะ อันนี้คงต้องบอกว่า ถ้าอยากได้ผลเต็มที่ก็คงต้องทำหลาย network)

2. ไปไล่หาเวปที่บริการ free blog มาสัก 5 ที่ แนะนำ wordpress.com กะ blogger.com ไว้ก่อนอ่ะกันที่เหลือก็ไปหาๆกันเอาเอง วิธีเลือกก็ง่ายๆ คือ เลือกที่มัน Pr สูงๆหน่อยจะได้มั่นใจได้ในระดับหนึ่งว่ามันจะไม่ปิดการให้บริการลงไปในอนาคต

จากนั้นก็ไล่สมัครซะที่ละ 5 blog ก็จะเป็น 5 x 5 = 25 พอดี

3. ลองเอา blog ที่สมัครไว้มา link กันดู ลองวาดภาพเล่นๆก่อนก็ได้ครับ มีหลักการง่ายๆ คือ ip เดียวกัน ไม่ link ไปหากัน และ ไม่มีการ link กลับ วาดเสร็จแล้วก็จับ blog มา link กันตามรูปที่เราวาดได้เลยครับ

4. ค่อยโพสบทความที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเวปเรา โดยเอา keyword มาทำเป็น anchor link ตัวอย่างอย่างเวปผมต้องการให้ติดอันดับใน keyword ที่ว่า “รับทำ seo” ผมก็เอา keyword มาทำแบบนี้ <a href=”http://www.ชื่อเวปของคุณ”>รับทำ seo</a> แค่นี้ก็จะได้ link ที่มีเนื้อหาจาก blog ที่มีเนื้อหาคล้ายๆกับเวปคุณกลับไปแล้ว

อย่าลืม ใช้เจ้า Blogjet เป็นตัวช่วยนะครับ จะสามารถให้คุณลดเวลาการทำงานได้อย่างไม่น่าเชื่อ

5. ที่ลืมไม่ได้เลยคือ บทความทุกบทความที่เราเอามาโพสต้อง ใส่ tags เข้าไปด้วยทุกครั้ง เพราะตรงส่วนนี้แหละที่จะทำให้เวปเรามี Pr ขึ้นมาได้อย่างมหศจรรย์

6. เลือกเอา blog สัก 5 blog จาก 25 blog ไปแขวนไว้ที่ TSB เพื่อเรียก bot ให้มาบ่อยๆ จะได้ให้ blog ทุก blog ของเราถูกเก็บ index ไปทั้งหมด

7. ขั้นนี้ใครขยันก็หา backlink ให้มันด้วยก็ยิ่งดี ถึงดีมาก หรืออาจจะแค่ submit feed

จะเห็นได้ว่า ถ้าเราทำจริงๆ ไม่เกิน 1 สัปดาห์ เราก็จะได้ blog network มาใช้ส่วนตัวกันแล้ว ผมนั่งยันว่ามันสามารถช่วยให้อันดับของเวปต่างๆของคุณดีขึ้นได้อย่างแน่นอน ผมมั่นใจ และถ้าคิดว่า 25 blog อันน้อยไป จะทำเป็น 100 blog ก็ไม่มีใครว่าอะไรนะครับ
