All these little things can help drive more traffic to blogs. Here are 15 popular techniques you can use:

1.) Create at least one article with the keywords of our site each day. Most blogs of blogspot  (with literally tens of thousands of visitors per day) publish an average of 1 or 2 small articles of 100-150 words per day.

2.) Send to My Yahoo! When you submit your own RSS to My Yahoo it is indexed by Yahoo.

3.) Submit to Google Reader. When you submit your own blog RSS to Google Reader would be indexed on the network from Google blog search.

4.) Obtaining quality links from other sites in our niche, this step may take much longer to link the search engine, but is one of the most effective tactics to attract qualified visitors to our blog.

5.) Use sites like ping-o-matic. This service notifies the various directories of blogs where you added a new entry.

6.) Submit your blog to traditional search engines such as AltaVista, and MSN.

7.) Submit your blog to directories as BoosterBlog. Increase the incidence of these directories in Google.

8.) Submit to as many RSS feeds, search engines and directories as possible. This is a simple but repetitive and time effective.

9.) Comment on other blogs. We must not leave short comments like “I agree.” We need to leave comments that are relevant to the topic for people to say “Who wrote this?”

10.) Use track backs. If a blog you referred to and it is highly relevant to your subject, leave a track back. Increase your link popularity and may even be some readers of the site linked.
